This stew take its inspiration from all the wonderful Ethiopian restaurants that we are lucky to have here in Oakland. The key ingredient is berbere, a blend of spices and herbs (including fenugreek, which is great for nursing mamas!) that we get from another local favorite: Oaktown Spice Shop! We use the berbere to season our red lentil stew and then add cauliflower roasted with turmeric and sautéed collard greens. We recommend adding a dollop of yogurt for a beautifully balanced, full flavored bowl of deliciousness!

Red Lentils, Tomatoes, Cauliflower, Collard Greens, Veggie Stock, Berbere, Turmeric, Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Vegan
Keep stew pouch frozen until ready to eat. Stew will stay good in the freezer for approximately 3 months. To defrost: thaw overnight in the fridge or submerge pouch in warm water, then heat stew on the stove or in a bowl in the microwave. DO NOT place pouch directly in the microwave. Once thawed, enjoy within 5 days.
